Stress Test - if it is good enough for NASA it probably is for you too

Following on from my prior post speaking a little about trading systems (here) and while on the subject of systems I wanted to cover an advantage or two of backtesting.

Backtesting obviously allows you test to see how your trading idea or plan played out in the past. The process can be very rewarding because in order to do this you need to really clarify your approach so that you can get it into computer code. This in itself can be a massive win as in the process you find out how much 'fluff' there is in your thinking.

Yet, this is not the main advantage I am speaking of.

Read on to find out what is!

The Pro's Process - Ed Borgato

I am very excited to be able to offer the thirty-third in my series of posts asking Pro Traders about their psychological processes.  Delving a little into how it feels to them when trading.  The good and the bad.  How this has changed over time and what preparation they do mentally for performing as a trader.

One of the key features for me was that I wanted traders with experience who have been through the mill over the years and of course those who were kind enough to broach this subject publicly.  This I hope gives developing traders more to learn from.

I’m very fortunate to have a great line up and this week is:

Trader: Ed Borgato
